Who I Am (in 250 words or less…*)

If I were to describe myself to someone who didn’t know me, this is how it would go:

The Way of the Cougar

I scratched my head and reached for my coffee.  Cold and nearly empty.  Not even my beverages were cooperating with me today.  Drinking the final, glucose-laden swig with the involuntary wince that often accompanied such intakes of foul-tasting fluids, I thumbed the console into standby mode and rose to my feet.

Hello Eric and Amy! … and everyone else who happens to be reading ;)

Hi, Eric and Amy.  I know that you are reading this.  And for that I thank you.  Based on my usual blog stats, it seems that you are not alone, though you do only have a few like-minded folks who join you here.  And as of late, those folks seem to be coming from a certain website that shall be unnamed*.  No one seems to own up to their presence via comments**.   And when they do, sometimes it is just to comment on my use of asterisks and my proclivity for footnoting***.

Interesting turns of events…and hello to those who have just found me!

To those who have just found me via the shiny new link on this page*…Hello and welcome!  For those who haven’t…it’s probably best if you just skipped this one.

I can only imagine that it’s been a wild ride to get here.  Her original post was dated February 22.  Of course at that time, she didn’t have the clever links to my site (or the link to helpguide.org).

On March 27, (OK, in the wee hours of the morningof the 28th) I happened across it (I’ll explain how in a bit…)
