December 12, 2008 by dmofdoomAh, yes! The backpack, cornerstone of all experienced adventurers’ “stuff” lists. Costing a mere two gold pieces in the standard D&D rules, it is worth sooooo much more in actual value. It keeps all your miscellaneous gear in one, easy to get to place and serves as a place to stash the loot. It can be used for such diverse tasks as a pillow whilst camping out to (in at least one instance) use as an improvised missile weapon*.
But of course, most of us who have played know too well the importance of this essential piece of gear. Hell, it has become so iconic that they include a “Standard Adventurer’s Kit” as a package deal in D&D 4E! But I can only imagine that some of you are aware that this is not the adventuring kit that I’m about to discuss…
